This Section of Terms of Service Includes: Migration, Onboarding & Integration Policies
Migration Policies:
- Occasionally to even often, we run into poor bookkeeping techniques inside QBD files. As a result, the QBO migration is less than perfect.
- Very old QBD files can often have corrupt data or portions of data that makes the migration more challenging.
- IF we’re doing a FREE Migration, then it’s not likely to be perfect or incredibly fast. Sometimes we can achieve fast but if we’re backed up, then it may be a little less than fast.
IF the FREE Migration takes us too long due to poor bookkeeping practices or corrupt data files or any other numbers of problems from the original QBD file (or any file), then we’ll reserve the right to assign an expert to the project.
- Experts will be billed at between $15 / hour to $35 / hour to as much as $50 / hour.
• $17.50 / hour for general data Migration work
• $37.50 / hour for Accounting review
• $50.00 / hour for Senior Accounting Work (IF required) - Min. time will be 3 hours.
- A $100 deposit is required to begin. Billing will take place weekly until the matter is resolved.
- Billing will take place regardless of the outcome.
- Experts will be billed at between $15 / hour to $35 / hour to as much as $50 / hour.
- When XSI is migrating from a previous file to a NEW QBO file, be that from QBD or otherwise, it is not XSI’s responsibility to cancel the previous services. Previous services can be other Merchant Services Accounts, Payroll Services, etc…
- The costs from XSI for data Migration Services are very low. As a result, we do not offer guarantees. As the saying goes, you can have cheap, amazing quality, and excellent pace… but you cannot have all three. For us here at XSI, we’re providing incredibly low prices, solid quality, solid pace… but no guarantee. Our competitors charge A LOT more than we do. Maybe they offer guarantees… I do not know. But I do know that it’s a lot more. Hence, we cannot and do not guarantee these data migration services.
- Since the cost is so low, we also do not debate the guarantee. IF a customer requires XSI to explain the guarantee or lack of guarantee in more than 2 email exchanges, XSI reserves the right to bill the customer for the time spent explaining the matter. XSI reserves the right to charge your Company at a rate of $500 per hour in 15 minute increments to walk you through the guarantee or lack of guarantee of your agreement. It is possible XSI does not exercise this right but it is also possible XSI does exercise this right.
- The time that passes between starting data migration work and completing it may be 48, 72, or even more hours. This is not the amount of time that is billed, however. The amount of time billed is the amount of time worked not the amount of time that passes.
Integration Policy:
When XSI is performing an Integration on behalf of a customer for a piece of Software that the Customer has requested be integrated, XSI can only perform this Integration IF there is a usable API (Application Programming Interface) that is fully documented AND supported by that Company’s Engineering Team. IF there is no API or IF the Documentation or Engineering Support are limited, XSI will not be responsible for performing the Integration and certainly not responsible for the integration being solid in performance. A poor API would be described as a). poor in software development and/or not providing sufficient information as an integration point b). poor in terms of documentation and /or c). less than helpful or nonexistent Engineering Support. Conversely a good or even great API is defined as having the inverse of these previous points in a, b, and c. Moreover, if there is a need to “chase” the Software Company’s Engineering Team, XSI will also not be responsible for said labor UNLESS the Integration is a paid Integration. FREE Integrations will not allow for XSI to chase after Software Company Engineering Teams.
Webhooks are traditionally less reliable than a good API. XSI will consider using a Webhook vs. an API. However, XSI will not be responsible for reliability and/or accuracy of a Webhook.
XSI will go above and beyond for customers and, hence, seek alternatives to obtaining data either through poor API integrations (see definition above), Webhook integrations, and/or even more out-of-the-box considerations. There is always a cost, however, with these alternatives and XSI reserves the right to present a reasonable cost to the customer even if the terms of the agreement are stated as $0 cost integration.
IF XSI is performing integrations at $0 cost, XSI cannot perform miracles with poor API’s (see definition above), less than reliable Webhooks, and/or alternatives without further charging for these services. IF XSI does perform under these stated circumstances AND does not charge, then the customer cannot use these scenarios to cancel service on other working technology or state poor performance as a reason for contract termination. Under these conditions, the customer cannot provide negative reviews or negative referrals. IF a customer wants to terminate the contract under these scenarios, then the customer is obligated to provide XSI with a chance to find an alternative. If that alternative is a paid for alternative and it is reasonable, then the customer is obligated to give the alternative a reasonable chance to perform. If the alternative is not sufficient in terms of performance after a reasonable time of assessment, then the customer can terminate the agreement.
In summary, a solid Software Company will provide a solid API. A less than solid Software Company may make an API hard to obtain or even not have one. XSI uses Intuit as a prime example; the Intuit QBO (Quickbooks Online) API is rock solid in terms of reliability and accuracy. The documentation is well done. And there is Engineering support. The Engineering Support is not amazing but because the API is well done as is the documentation, XSI ends up with a very solid integration with QBO. There are many other examples. XSI has performed over 50 integrations in the last nearly 20 years in business. XSI has been paid by companies such as Intuit to perform integrations on behalf of incredibly large Corporations who could not perform said integrations. XSI’s track record and expertise in this area is tops in the Software Industry. Successful integrations begin and end with a good API (see definition above). And with a good API, XSI will perform and even guarantee the performance.
- IF there is an extreme amount of data manipulation or the integration requires data be provided in a format that is outside of XSI’s normal Xinator Central presentation of data, XSI can charge for this added service even if the integration itself is unpaid for.
